We all have urges, aberrant hungers that we spend our days calculating whether it is to our advantage to indulge or suppress them. The righteous fury that moves one desperate victim to take revenge on the person who wronged them. The fathomless greed for recognition that drives another to seek ever higher achievement. Most societies and cultures caution us to rein in these impulses, to achieve enlightenment through their denial.

But what if we were to let them go? What monsters would be born?

RUBILYKSKOYE is a dark, horror-themed smut game. Characters arrive in a wooded void-space, naked and without any belongings. They will soon discover glowing runes on their bodies like tattoos, which mark them as bearing a curse that transforms them into monsters if they do not have regular sexual intercourse. The transformation into a beast is painful, and when it is complete, they lose their sense of self, becoming driven only by an appetite for sex and/or violence. In the nearby township from which the game takes its name, characters will discover a cult-like society of similarly cursed individuals with unfamiliar customs centered around the careful indulgence of these urges.

The game will alternate between horror-based and sex-based events. Horror events will draw on various tropes and elements like body horror, gore, violence, psychological horror, loss of autonomy, mistrust of senses, and lovecraftian madness. Smut events will draw primarily on kink tropes driven by the cult-like behavior of the local population.

Opt-outs will vary by event. While players can opt-out of the smut parts of the game, it will intensify the horror aspects of the game for their character, and opting out of the horror parts of the game will generally require more involvement in the smut components.

Welcome to the Rubilykskoye interest check! We are a panfandom, plot-heavy horror-smut game set in a void world populated solely by a vaguely Eastern European castle village! How and why your characters arrived will be answered as characters interact with the town's various NPCs, including the mysterious Duchess living in the castle, and as players proactively engage with events.

Players can expect events to alternate between the erotic and grotesque, though many will combine the two. The game will heavily feature eldritch body horror, religious cult behavior, and animalistic behaviors and urges.

The nitty-gritty:

There is a mod-run storyline with the first 'phase' outlined at about two years;

PC actions can and will influence the outcome of events;

This game is locked and invite-only;

App rounds are monthly;

It has no minimum comment count for AC;

There is an activity rewards shop.

Players can influence the outcome of events in a number of ways. In addition to giving players the chance to thread with NPCs to learn more about the game's plot and world, some events will allow game-wide votes on outcomes, while others will afford RNG opportunities for players to sign-up for an important role. Activity rewards also allow players to exchange their active participation in events for threads with NPCs and other plot tidbits or roles.

Character Considerations: I've been itching to dust off some of these, so pardon the long list of possibilities. In no particular order...

Vaxildan Vessar donotgofar: An absolute bisexual disaster of a rogue-turned-revenant, potentially already somewhat monstrous. Vax can be reckless and rarely hesitates to throw himself at danger.

Caleb Widogast meinherzbrennt: A human wizard who has had a very rough time of it. His talent was noticed at a young age and he was drawn into training to be a Volstrucker, an assassin and spy. During this time he was subjected to magical experimentation and torture, and his final test broke him. Since then, he's become a master of his craft, and he's seen terrible things both human and supernatural. Bit of a firebug.

Eadwulf Grieve ungelicisus: A classmate of Caleb's, but actually made it through the program, for better or worse. Also trained to be an assassin from a relatively young age using both magic and martial force; he was also subjected to magical experimentation and torture by their mentor in order to make him more effective in his eventual job.

Percival de Rolo alignmyheart: Inventor, noble, probably definitely cursed. Percy is a product of a past tragedy and he carries that shadow no matter what. He'll always be looking to get out from under it, even when the danger of being fully possessed by it has passed. He's sharp, intelligent, and has seen and done terrible things.

Lucien Tavelle truthisvicious: Alternatively, Kingsley. Either way, a fractured psyche who has been pulled apart and smashed back together multiple times and it has not impacted him badly in any way. At all. As a tiefling, he's already got some monster looks.

The Iron Bull aban_aqun: Big guy, hits things. That's the short story, anyway. Bull is a mercenary, a spy, and generally a lot deeper than he lets on. He has madness in his past and that resulted in a lot of reckless violence, and he's been keeping that in check ever since. Depending on his canon point, it's easier or harder.

Fenris foughtforthis: Former slave, now an assassin and rebel with so many causes; his backstory includes gladitorial combat, magical experimentation, physical and likely mental/emotional abuse. His history also involves memory loss and violence on small and large scales - he was a body guard and he also fought in skirmishes in a war. He violently stops slavers whenever he can. Through the power of friendship (depending on game choices) he is less hostile than he used to be. He's got the bonus of being touch-averse due to the way the lyrium tattoos make him feel.

And because I have no self control there are a handful of OCs I'd consider:

Cade greatrack: Spent a very long time as a stag being hunted for sport, now he resides in the Summer Court and hunts those that hunted him.

Rune Tyto homeisbehind: A tiefling ranger who found himself trapped between two sides in a war. His entire character design is based around barn owls and so it'd be interesting to see what he'd look like turning monstrous.

Ro Strand moontied: Ro is a halfling grave cleric here to fulfill all those size-difference kinks and also perhaps one of the most prepared for horror elements. That won't mean he'd be fine. He's just prepared.

Monster Interests: Eadwulf would be a Wilk for sure, a loyal ~~dog~~ wolf; Vax might also find himself in the Wilk or Skala categories, or maybe a Niez. Caleb could end up a Wilk or Skala. Percy could fall into any monster category depending on how he gets there, though he already has one foot in the Diabel group, possibly. Lucien would find himself in the Skala group most likely, but could easily fall into Diabel. So many options.
