We all have urges, aberrant hungers that we spend our days calculating whether it is to our advantage to indulge or suppress them. The righteous fury that moves one desperate victim to take revenge on the person who wronged them. The fathomless greed for recognition that drives another to seek ever higher achievement. Most societies and cultures caution us to rein in these impulses, to achieve enlightenment through their denial.

But what if we were to let them go? What monsters would be born?

CONTENT WARNING: This game's info pages, premise, plot, and events may involve or make reference to rape, dubious and coerced consent, torture, blood and gore, body horror, disfiguration, murder, cult behavior, medieval punishments, drugs effects, and animalistic sexual behaviors. Game images may contain blood and mild gore or be sexually suggestive.

RUBILYKSKOYE is a dark, horror-themed smut game. Characters arrive in a wooded void-space, naked and without any belongings. They will soon discover glowing runes on their bodies like tattoos, which mark them as bearing a curse that transforms them into monsters if they do not have regular sexual intercourse. The transformation into a beast is painful, and when it is complete, they lose their sense of self, becoming driven only by an appetite for sex and/or violence. In the nearby township from which the game takes its name, characters will discover a cult-like society of similarly cursed individuals with unfamiliar customs centered around the careful indulgence of these urges.

The game will alternate between horror-based and sex-based events. Horror events will draw on various tropes and elements like body horror, gore, violence, psychological horror, loss of autonomy, mistrust of senses, and lovecraftian madness. Smut events will draw primarily on kink tropes driven by the cult-like behavior of the local population.

Opt-outs will vary by event. While players can opt-out of the smut parts of the game, it will intensify the horror aspects of the game for their character, and opting out of the horror parts of the game will generally require more involvement in the smut components.

Welcome to the Rubilykskoye interest check! We are a panfandom, plot-heavy horror-smut game set in a void world populated solely by a vaguely Eastern European castle village! How and why your characters arrived will be answered as characters interact with the town's various NPCs, including the mysterious Duchess living in the castle, and as players proactively engage with events.

Players can expect events to alternate between the erotic and grotesque, though many will combine the two. The game will heavily feature eldritch body horror, religious cult behavior, and animalistic behaviors and urges.

The nitty-gritty:

There is a mod-run storyline with the first 'phase' outlined at about two years;

PC actions can and will influence the outcome of events;

This game is locked and invite-only;

App rounds are monthly;

It has no minimum comment count for AC;

There is an activity rewards shop.

Players can influence the outcome of events in a number of ways. In addition to giving players the chance to thread with NPCs to learn more about the game's plot and world, some events will allow game-wide votes on outcomes, while others will afford RNG opportunities for players to sign-up for an important role. Activity rewards also allow players to exchange their active participation in events for threads with NPCs and other plot tidbits or roles.

Character Considerations:
Could be either:

Jon Snow: my main, but he'd really hate this situation: a lot of his self-worth is bound up in trying to behave as a "good person" by the standards of the really good person who raised him, so both indiscriminate murder and some sexual behaviors (promiscuity, mostly) are right out. The conflict might be interesting? He'd have to do a lot of things he'd harshly judge others for choosing to do, and when it comes to sex stuff, he would initially resist, then likely either latch on to one person and try to make a ship out of it, or become extremely emotionally checked out and numb. Another possibility is a post-canon pull point, where he feels he has violated the standards he was raised by and his self-worth is functionally nonexistent.

Morpheus, Dream of the Endless: The inhuman King of Dreams learns that he can suffer the same emotional pains as anyone else. Many fewer issues around sexuality than Jon, but also has a far deeper capacity for cruelty. Likely to sanctimoniously lecture people who choose murder/violence over consensual boning down. Can normally travel through the universe by magical means, and really hates being trapped, so is likely to try to mount some kind of major resistance. Also likely to be annoyed that he can't end the entire situation with no help from anyone. (Deal w it, Murph.)

Monster Interests: If Jon, likely a werewolf (he is loyal and protective); if Morpheus, either a wyvern or other scaled beast (he is a cold, proud ruler), or an eldritch abomination of some kind other than he already is (he is also an isolated, brooding artistic type).
Horror/Kink Interests: My kink is a functional romantic relationship with mutual support and good communication. Ok, joking aside, specific BDSM dynamics. I tend to play men who are reflexively slightly dommy. I have written a lot of kinks like orgasm denial, bloodplay, electrical play, etc., often in a slightly incidental way. Horror-wise... eh. I like gothic horror and read a lot of it. Cults and rituals and murder are a-ok. Isolation, distrusting senses/reasoning, gore, etc.
Triggers and Aversions: Rape, the kind of sexual abuse or assault that's a no-brainer to warn for, bugs (esp physical infestations like the beetles under the skin in The Mummy or etc), flaying/degloving/skinning of people (not bothered if it's hunted animals and not nearly as bothered if it's text rather than images). Serious thalassophobia (deep water and things in it), but that's not likely to be an issue in this setting. Not a squick, but you know those events where your evil doppelgänger shows up and you have to interact with them? I have to admit that I don't really like those because they obligate me to play a second character I didn't actually app.
Any Questions: Hmm, maybe more animals to hunt outside of the wall? Rabbits, small deer, squirrels, etc, unless the plot dictates that it's mostly birds for setting-specific reasons. I care about this 18,000x less if I don't app Jon.

Hey, Elizabeth! Thanks for the suggestion regarding animals in the setting.

The ecology of Rubilykskoye is largely influenced by eastern Europe, so you can take some liberties with what types of crops and animals are common to the real-world region and port it here. The information on the Setting page is certainly non-exhaustive.

Some further suggestions of huntable game that might be found in the fields include wild goats, boar, and chamois, as well as weasels like ermine. While there may be wolves, bears, and red deer as characters venture towards the wooded areas, this can be dangerous as it begins to touch on the edge of the void. Some of the animals may be normal, some may be strange, and some may appear normal but be anything but.
