INTEREST CHECK

⚰︎ ⍢ ⌲ ⍚ Interest Check
We all have urges, aberrant hungers that we spend our days calculating whether it is to our advantage to indulge or suppress them. The righteous fury that moves one desperate victim to take revenge on the person who wronged them. The fathomless greed for recognition that drives another to seek ever higher achievement. Most societies and cultures caution us to rein in these impulses, to achieve enlightenment through their denial.

But what if we were to let them go? What monsters would be born?

CONTENT WARNING: This game's info pages, premise, plot, and events may involve or make reference to rape, dubious and coerced consent, torture, blood and gore, body horror, disfiguration, murder, cult behavior, medieval punishments, drugs effects, and animalistic sexual behaviors. Game images may contain blood and mild gore or be sexually suggestive.

RUBILYKSKOYE is a dark, horror-themed smut game. Characters arrive in a wooded void-space, naked and without any belongings. They will soon discover glowing runes on their bodies like tattoos, which mark them as bearing a curse that transforms them into monsters if they do not have regular sexual intercourse. The transformation into a beast is painful, and when it is complete, they lose their sense of self, becoming driven only by an appetite for sex and/or violence. In the nearby township from which the game takes its name, characters will discover a cult-like society of similarly cursed individuals with unfamiliar customs centered around the careful indulgence of these urges.

The game will alternate between horror-based and sex-based events. Horror events will draw on various tropes and elements like body horror, gore, violence, psychological horror, loss of autonomy, mistrust of senses, and lovecraftian madness. Smut events will draw primarily on kink tropes driven by the cult-like behavior of the local population.

Opt-outs will vary by event. While players can opt-out of the smut parts of the game, it will intensify the horror aspects of the game for their character, and opting out of the horror parts of the game will generally require more involvement in the smut components.

Welcome to the Rubilykskoye interest check! We are a panfandom, plot-heavy horror-smut game set in a void world populated solely by a vaguely Eastern European castle village! How and why your characters arrived will be answered as characters interact with the town's various NPCs, including the mysterious Duchess living in the castle, and as players proactively engage with events.

Players can expect events to alternate between the erotic and grotesque, though many will combine the two. The game will heavily feature eldritch body horror, religious cult behavior, and animalistic behaviors and urges.

The nitty-gritty:

  • There is a mod-run storyline with the first 'phase' outlined at about two years;

  • PC actions can and will influence the outcome of events;

  • This game is locked and invite-only;

  • App rounds are monthly;

  • It has no minimum comment count for AC;

  • There is an activity rewards shop.
Players can influence the outcome of events in a number of ways. In addition to giving players the chance to thread with NPCs to learn more about the game's plot and world, some events will allow game-wide votes on outcomes, while others will afford RNG opportunities for players to sign-up for an important role. Activity rewards also allow players to exchange their active participation in events for threads with NPCs and other plot tidbits or roles.

Character Considerations:
Derek Hale. MTV's Teen Wolf is, and always has been, a god awful television show. That being said, Derek Hale is my initial go-to for this; he's a big buff angry boy with trauma and drama and horror that the show was never very good at exploring, and I've always been interested in exploring the dynamic of a character like Derek in a setting like this. He tries hard to be a good guy while also denying himself of fucking everything, so ultimately failing and losing himself to the monster is chef kiss tres bien bon apetit. Considering Peter Hale, too, if I wanted to go full villain? Dude's obsessed with violence and has a whole kink about wanting to bite people and transform them so they're like him, it's wacky.

Marcus Lopez Arguello from Deadly Class is an explosive, bitter teenager from the 1980s who is desperate for any kind of affection despite being absolutely shackled by self-doubt and resentment. In canon, he willingly signs his life away to a hyperviolent academy of murderers and assassins who train him and kids like him to be killers for hire, and he's pretty much the only person among his peers capable of killing as easily as expected of him. He grapples a lot with his identity and how much he values the blood on his hands, in ways that alternate between the TV adaptation and the OG source material, so making that more literal would be pretty sick to play with I think.

Robbie Reyes from Marvel's Ghost Rider is a pretty interesting case for this game too I think! After dying in a street race he's brought back to life as a Ghost Rider, which are those dudes in Marvel who have the spooky firey skull heads or whatever. Standard Riders are posessed by a spirit of vengeance, with their whole thing being like, divine punishment sort of, but for a while at the start of his story Robbie is posessed by the soul of this one douchebag murderer who posesses him and takes complete control over him whenever he thinks Robbie's being weak or half-hearted. It's later revealed when he gets his uncle exorcised from him that he was posessed by a spirit of vengeance and the serial killer guy just kind of hitched a ride into his body? Anyway my point is there's a lot of messy shit with identity and guilt that would be fun to play with here.

uh I also have an OC who is just a big stupid frat boy whose story arc revolves around monstrous corruption that aligns with a lot of this game but. hey we'll see.

Monster Interests: A big monster werewolf is, as we can all agree, extremely fuckable, so that's one down. Marcus I can see as something more sharp and venomous rather than something strictly big and broad and mamallian like Derek, and Robbie'd get some horror demonic shit going on because he's tied to hell.
Horror/Kink Interests:
horror: psychological horror is my favourite, but I'm OTA. body horror is fun, gore, the works. the major thing I try to keep in mind when it comes to horror in rp games is that it's very easy to traumatize your character too quickly, which can then make it kind of difficult to keep successive horror impactful; more than anything I like horror that feels meaningful and shapes the characters I play, which can come in like literally any flavor lmao.
kinks: breeding, knotting, a/b/o, furry-ass monsterfucking. power dynamics like age differences or hunter/hunted, corruption, noncon, dubcon. there's not a lot I won't write so just run it by me.
