INTEREST CHECK
⚰︎ ⍢ ⌲ ⍚ Interest Check
We all have urges, aberrant hungers that we spend our days calculating whether it is to our advantage to indulge or suppress them. The righteous fury that moves one desperate victim to take revenge on the person who wronged them. The fathomless greed for recognition that drives another to seek ever higher achievement. Most societies and cultures caution us to rein in these impulses, to achieve enlightenment through their denial.
But what if we were to let them go? What monsters would be born?

Game images may contain blood and mild gore or be sexually suggestive.

RUBILYKSKOYE is a dark, horror-themed smut game. Characters arrive in a wooded void-space, naked and without any belongings. They will soon discover glowing runes on their bodies like tattoos, which mark them as bearing a curse that transforms them into monsters if they do not have regular sexual intercourse. The transformation into a beast is painful, and when it is complete, they lose their sense of self, becoming driven only by an appetite for sex and/or violence. In the nearby township from which the game takes its name, characters will discover a cult-like society of similarly cursed individuals with unfamiliar customs centered around the careful indulgence of these urges.
The game will alternate between horror-based and sex-based events. Horror events will draw on various tropes and elements like body horror, gore, violence, psychological horror, loss of autonomy, mistrust of senses, and lovecraftian madness. Smut events will draw primarily on kink tropes driven by the cult-like behavior of the local population.
Opt-outs will vary by event. While players can opt-out of the smut parts of the game, it will intensify the horror aspects of the game for their character, and opting out of the horror parts of the game will generally require more involvement in the smut components.
Welcome to the Rubilykskoye interest check! We are a panfandom, plot-heavy horror-smut game set in a void world populated solely by a vaguely Eastern European castle village! How and why your characters arrived will be answered as characters interact with the town's various NPCs, including the mysterious Duchess living in the castle, and as players proactively engage with events.
Players can expect events to alternate between the erotic and grotesque, though many will combine the two. The game will heavily feature eldritch body horror, religious cult behavior, and animalistic behaviors and urges.

Based on the function of the Hoard per your description and some further research, the interdimensional nature of the power unfortunately will not fit with our game setting's lore. As a result, the power would be fully limited, and Sweeney would not be able to have access to his Hoard in-game. It would be fair to speculate that the Hoard isn't necessarily gone, just not something he can reach. He therefore wouldn't have access to his Coin in-game either, unless it was approved as an item to purchase via the Minstrel as an activity reward (which would be evaluated at the time of submission).
We hope this information helps!

1) Would your team prefer I not app him at all, and re-visit the opportunity to play in your game if I ever end up playing someone else, or do you feel he has the potential for viability with modifications? I understand that it may simply be a bad match. If you feel there is a possibility to adapt him to the setting, I have some additional questions.
2} If he is cut off from both of his main canon powers (Hoard and Luck), would he be allowed in play as a more traditional faerie (based on leprechaun mythos) given he is a leprechaun but those other aspects aren't directly seen in canon, or would he need to be basically played as a supernaturally-resilient 'human' with knowledge of the gods/supernatural creatures of his world and a curse of madness?
His being a traditional leprechaun is represented in the show, he just isn't shown doing anything other than providing Luck in return for offerings. I would happily play him in his modern incarnation with that history, as he is in the rest of the show, or directly as the archaic version, if that would be accepted as enough canon to meet game requirements. (That version may be more fitting in the setting at large.)
2) In his canon, the further away he is from his Coin, the worse his Luck gets. Due to the cut-off dimensionality of the world, would he still be afflicted with extreme bad luck, or would it simply be neutral?
3) How likely do you feel, at this time, that he'd have the opportunity to earn his Coin/luck power? I don't mind putting in the work to make it happen, but if it's something that isn't viable (or likely isn't), I just want to know before applying. I understand your answer may change one way or the other once game is up and running.
I really appreciate all of the effort you've put into this game and my inquiries, and even if I am not accepted to play, I think this game has a lot of really neat potential. I wish you all the luck with it!

1. This would be entirely up to you! Obviously, we don't want anyone to feel like their character isn't viable if they're willing to work with modifications discussed and decided between the player and the moderators.
That said, we've answered your following questions to the best of our ability and hope it helps clarify things to help make Sweeney a character that can work in the setting!
2a. We wouldn’t be comfortable with him gaining powers beyond what he possesses in canon, with the exception of his monster state. If you would like to have said monster state be informed by traditional fairy/leprechaun lore, that would be fine! We just ask that you please bear in mind the rule against game-breaking abilities.
2b. We feel that this would best be left up to you with regard to how it would affect Sweeney; however, we do ask that you be consistent with your decision. If he suffers from bad luck than it needs to remains bad - like working at a decided disadvantage in any situation - rather than switching between neutral and bad luck.
3. We would require a clear description of the nature and scope of the coin’s powers before approving it as a regain via Minstrel purchase. That way, we can make as informed a decision as possible and work with you as best we can.
We hope this information helps but let us know if you need any further clarification or questions!

1) Regarding 'additional powers', what I would be proposing is:
- 'fair escape'-style movement into and out of mundane situations/buildings/bindings without being observed (if he is not constantly under observation; he can't vanish in front of people), which is alluded to in canon, where he situated himself in the jail cell next to a character and was gone the next morning after taking her offering of bread
- preternatural grace (to allow him to get in and out of places and accomplish manually dexterous tasks with greater ease and quicker productivity); related to the above power :: it would not include any sort of flying/super-speed/shapeshifting/etc
- the application of said grace into cobbling/tailoring/smithing, which is what I would like to take from faerie lore that isn't directly in canon. It's more knowledge and skill set than an actual 'power'.
2) I will happily write a detailed proposal for his Coin, should I be accepted to play, but to give some feel for it, it would be similar to Domino from Deadpool 2. There's no intention from him about how the Good Luck manifests; it just does. He can't control it to cause a specific thing to happen, it's more about Fate shifting to accomplish his larger goal, if that makes sense.
Please let me know if you have additional questions. Thanks again!

1) Powers that are demonstrated in canon in some capacity (i.e., the 'fair escape' and dexterity you reference) would not be considered additional. In the case of teleportation abilities, using these to enter any plot-relevant or not publicly accessible areas (such as the Void or the Castle) would involve a submission to our Plotting page. The skills in cobbling and other handicrafts would be considered skills, not abilites, as they aren't above and beyond the capacity of a real person.
2) We assure you that he would at least be able to get the physical object back and have it neutralize his bad luck or improve his overall luck. The extent to which that luck could serve him in regards to plotting opportunities would be our primary area of concern in limiting its effect in the game, as we want to avoid any unfairness between players' opportunities. This would be something we can negotiate in detail and work with you on at the time a Minstrel request is made.
Feel free to reach out with any further questions in the meantime!
