We all have urges, aberrant hungers that we spend our days calculating whether it is to our advantage to indulge or suppress them. The righteous fury that moves one desperate victim to take revenge on the person who wronged them. The fathomless greed for recognition that drives another to seek ever higher achievement. Most societies and cultures caution us to rein in these impulses, to achieve enlightenment through their denial.

But what if we were to let them go? What monsters would be born?

CONTENT WARNING: This game's info pages, premise, plot, and events may involve or make reference to rape, dubious and coerced consent, torture, blood and gore, body horror, disfiguration, murder, cult behavior, medieval punishments, drugs effects, and animalistic sexual behaviors. RUBILYKSKOYE is a dark, horror-themed smut game. Characters arrive in a wooded void-space, naked and without any belongings. They will soon discover glowing runes on their bodies like tattoos, which mark them as bearing a curse that transforms them into monsters if they do not have regular sexual intercourse. The transformation into a beast is painful, and when it is complete, they lose their sense of self, becoming driven only by an appetite for sex and/or violence. In the nearby township from which the game takes its name, characters will discover a cult-like society of similarly cursed individuals with unfamiliar customs centered around the careful indulgence of these urges.

The game will alternate between horror-based and sex-based events. Horror events will draw on various tropes and elements like body horror, gore, violence, psychological horror, loss of autonomy, mistrust of senses, and lovecraftian madness. Smut events will draw primarily on kink tropes driven by the cult-like behavior of the local population.

Opt-outs will vary by event. While players can opt-out of the smut parts of the game, it will intensify the horror aspects of the game for their character, and opting out of the horror parts of the game will generally require more involvement in the smut components.

Welcome to the Rubilykskoye interest check! We are a panfandom, plot-heavy horror-smut game set in a void world populated solely by a vaguely Eastern European castle village! How and why your characters arrived will be answered as characters interact with the town's various NPCs, including the mysterious Duchess living in the castle, and as players proactively engage with events.

Players can expect events to alternate between the erotic and grotesque, though many will combine the two. The game will heavily feature eldritch body horror, religious cult behavior, and animalistic behaviors and urges.

The nitty-gritty:

There is a mod-run storyline with the first 'phase' outlined at about two years;

PC actions can and will influence the outcome of events;

This game is locked and invite-only;

App rounds are monthly;

It has no minimum comment count for AC;

There is an activity rewards shop.

Players can influence the outcome of events in a number of ways. In addition to giving players the chance to thread with NPCs to learn more about the game's plot and world, some events will allow game-wide votes on outcomes, while others will afford RNG opportunities for players to sign-up for an important role. Activity rewards also allow players to exchange their active participation in events for threads with NPCs and other plot tidbits or roles.

Character Considerations: My main consideration right now is Charlotte Pudding from One Piece, in pre-meeting-the-Straw-Hats flavor for maximum viciousness. She's [spoilers for Whole Cake Island arc incoming] a two-faced horror, all candy-coated yamato nadeshiko public face and sukeban private face - that is, idealized soft femme Japanese culturally "perfect woman" type vs. rough-voiced gang girl type. Her homeland's citizens know her as a sweet, caring, darling, gentle chocolatier; her family knows (and uses) her as a cruel, murderous femme fatale. Despite being 16. Her family is pretty horrendous. Neither of these faces is her true personality, but even she doesn't know that because she's spent ~13 years lying to herself to protect her feelings. She has a third eye, which nearly everyone including her own mother finds creepy. In a canon full of animal transformations, people made of snot, arms with extra joints, snake like necks, literal fish people, merfolk, anthros, and giants. Her life sucks disproportionately and she makes that everyone else's problem. As a bonus, she can steal, rearrange, and fabricate people's memories as though editing a roll of film, and uses this gleefully to mock her victims to their faces for their losses, enjoy their squirming, and then cut out the memory and suffer no consequences.
Monster Interests: I'm waffling between demon and void for her; whatever her form, full monster will be absolutely covered in eyes. I like demon for the cruelty / femme fatale aspect, but void for the inconsistent persona + memory fuck aspect. I'd love suggestions.
Horror/Kink Interests: I run the gamut here and have very few hard limits except as outlined below. I am very big into noncon, dubcon, coercion, no no no yes, breaking, orgasm control, body horror, and regen guro in particular. I have an OOC very tl;dr f-list here; one for Pudding is kinna pending. She's twisted and dommy but I'm not against her being victimized, either.
Triggers and Aversions: My main squick is nonconsensual exhibitionism, and that's more about violating the consent of third parties who didn't sign up to be there than anything. Having it happen in semi-public sex-ok places like dungeons doesn't bother me, f'rex. I have a dropdown for it toward the bottom of my f-list. I am phobic of normal-sized but not cartoonishly large centipedes, needles, and suspensions by piercings / to some extent corset piercings. I can handle injections mentioned as scene setting but not loving description thereof. Please warn for animal harm/death/violence.
Any Questions: I am disabled and in the midst of unpacking an entire house, so my speed vacillates between glacial and boomerang, but I am excited to (eventually hopefully) be here! I mostly hope with a low AC the game won't outpace me, and I would love to do sleuthing and explorations that Pudding perhaps does not share fully or truthfully? But I'm generally very willing to let faster players take the plot reins.

Hey, Daz!

If we understand correctly, you're asking two questions here: (1) whether your tagging speed will impact your ability to access plot opportunities; and (2) whether a character can lie about plot information or otherwise withhold the extent of what they learn. We'll address these separately.

RE: tagging speed and plot opportunities, any player is allowed to submit plot requests to our PLOTTING page regardless of their personal tagging speed or activity levels. These plotting requests often involve a player coming up with their own ideas for something they'd like to investigate or follow up on.
There are other, more mod-scaffolded opportunities to engage the plot (often related to events, like voting on event outcomes or threading NPC interactions) which will largely be time-gated in order to make the mod workload manageable. We have some sample deadlines already posted as part of our June CALENDAR, and you can find more information on limitations to NPC interactions on our FAQ.

RE: sharing plot information, you'll also notice the NPC interactions section of our FAQ says:

In situations where engagement with an event or an NPC reveals plot information, the mods will identify that key information through the use of text emphasis. Players are expected to share these findings with the rest of the game in a timely and public manner, such as through a public post or open log. Players who do not share this information will be passed over when NPC/Plot engagement opportunities are next offered.

If a character were to learn plot information and lie about or withhold parts of it, or take a very long time to spread that information widely, this would lead to the player in question being passed over for future plot engagement opportunities due to a failure to share that information with the rest of the game.

One way we recommend managing this requirement with characters who are mistrustful or tend to hoard information would be to have them share the information honestly with a proxy character, who might then dispense it widely. Obviously, this could lead to the original character being exposed as a liar, which could have some IC consequences for their CR, but it would meet our requirements for the information being shared. As long as you make sure that the accurate plot information gets out to the community at large somehow and in a timely fashion, it would not impact future opportunities for you to access plot engagement opportunities.
